Projects of the day

My planner was looking a little dull, and my phone needed some bling, so I painted them with nail polish.  I am digging them!

Photo finish

This is what I would look like *if* I had an aesthtetician follow me around day and night .... erasing the circles under my eyes and moisturizing my skin and making me wear sun block ... ha ha ha.  Wouldn't that be a wonder?

Photo refinishing

Here are the photos I am working on currently.  Learning my way around adobe photo shop.  It's difficult to not get too carried away.

Here's another set I worked on endlessly last month.  The backlighting made the girl on the right's head completely disappear. .... I ended up patching in another arm and her head from a different photo, which I relighted to hopefully fit into the lighting in this picture.

I received word today that I was a strong candidate, and that my file would be saved for one year in case of more openings coming up ... but at this time they were proceeding with a different candidate.  I spent the rest of the day filling out some other applications.   I do recall the superintendent saying, at the interview, "If you aren't called back for the second interview on this position, don't count us out.  I hope to have two more openings coming up later in the month, depending on enrollment." .... so we will just see.  I know you all have your fingers crossed for me, and I appreciate it!

Markers and stickers and white out, oh my!

Here is a little cover page I made for my Planner.  It says "Wendster" and is decorated in markers, white out, and stickers.  For many years I kept it on my wall, held on with little heart stickers.  I think  I still have it somewhere! lol  Gotta love stickers.

Also ... I had my interview with Rancho Santa Fe yesterday.  It was a group interview (superintendent interviewed four candidates at a time).  Four per hour, approximately.  We will see who gets a call back for a second interview.  It seems like it went well.  When we were asked to describe ourselves with one adjective only (and no explanations) as a students would describe us, as a supervisor would describe us, and as we would describe ourselves, I chose the adjectives:  transparent,  resourceful, and "can-do".  The superintendent really liked "transparent".

We will see.

Off to a beach party for my daughter, Hannah, and her fiance, Adam, who are visiting from Washington.  Enjoy your weekends!

Welcome to Wenderilla's.

Relax.  Pull up a chair.  Kick your shoes off.  Help yourself to something from the kitchen.  I'll run a block of ice through the ice shaver for us.

Now ..... what shall we talk about ... ?
